cleaning and care
I believe jewelry should be worn, not “saved” for a special event. Well crafted jewelry is quite durable and only requires a little basic care.
Do remember to remove it for activities such as gardening, swimming, working out, heavy duty home maintenance.
Avoid harsh cleaning agents and chemicals. Do not use abrasives. Cleaning with a soft cloth or mild detergent is usually fine but use caution on pieces with patina. It is a natural surface treatment which develops over time with wear. If you prefer to maintain the darker finish I will re patina your pieces no charge, you only pay shipping and insurance.
Enamel is glass. While it is a material which can last hundreds of years it is also breakable. Gemstones can crack if dropped on hard surfaces. Please do not put on jewelry over ceramic or other hard flooring. Ask me how I know!
